Technical Surveillance Counter Measures (TSCM) Riding Ltd's experts uncovered the truth
It was a strange kind of break-in.
Even the police officers who came to investigate were stumped.
Nothing had been taken. Nothing, apparently, had even been moved.
They had tripped the alarm, which had alerted the police, but hadn't even taken sellable items like laptops or mobiles.
My employees, who came in later that day, commented on how lucky we were. We had got off lightly, they joked.
But I had an uneasy feeling. On the surface things were just as they had been before, but I felt restless, anxious.
Then, over the next week or so I started to notice strange things happening every time I made a 'phone call. I heard odd sounds on the line and the volume kept altering randomly. I called our service provider but their engineer couldn't find anything wrong. I started looking over my shoulder everywhere I went. I just couldn't relax. After a few weeks of this, I came to the conclusion I had to do something definitive.
After a bit of research on the internet, I decided to call Riding Ltd. They had the experience I needed, were flexible and had agents available immediately. It felt a bit far-fetched to think I was under surveillance, but I couldn't explain away these strange happenings. The break-in and the subsequent problems with my phone lines: it was too close to be just a coincidence.
Well, I am glad I trusted my instincts and dialled that number (from my mobile, of course!).
Riding Ltd. sent a TSCM expert to my premises within a few hours of my call. On my request, they waited until my staff had gone home, so as not to alarm them. They surveyed the premises and used their specialist equipment to detect the presence of any bugging equipment. It seemed that my instincts were spot-on.
They found a bug on the phones, so miniscule that I would never have detected it. They were so thorough that they checked all of our other communication devices too. To prevent a repetition of this scenario in the future, they gave me advice on extra security measures I could implement.
I have made the decision, for my own peace of mind and for the viability of my business, to ask Riding Ltd. to come back periodically and check my premises. It is always better to be safe than sorry. After all, who knows what the future holds?
